1. Introduction
Dripychat ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information when you use our App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Account information: name, username, email address, age, gender and location
Phone number: collected during registration for account verification and optional display on your profile
Profile content: photos, bio, interests and looking-for preferences
Communications: messages, status posts and media shared within the App
Payment information: transaction references, payment method type, subscription plan and receipt. We do not store full card numbers or M-Pesa PINs.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device identifiers and FCM token (used to send push notifications)
App usage data and interaction logs (likes, swipes, profile views, matches)
Analytics data: profile view counts, swipe stats, drip engagement and boost performance — surfaced to you in your Analytics page
Approximate location (when you enable location features)
Connection information (IP address, network type)
3. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account
To display your profile to other users based on your preferences
To facilitate matching, messaging and other App features
To improve App safety and prevent fraud and abuse
To send push notifications about matches, messages and activity via FCM
To provide you with performance analytics on your profile and content
To process and verify subscription payments
To comply with legal obligations
4. Payment Processing
Dripychat uses the following payment processors to handle subscriptions:
M-Pesa (Safaricom): processes mobile money payments. Your phone number and transaction reference are shared with Safaricom to initiate and verify payment. Safaricom's privacy policy applies to data they process.
Paystack: processes card and mobile money payments. Your email address and payment details are shared with Paystack for transaction processing. Paystack's privacy policy applies to data they process.
Google Pay: may be used as an alternative payment method. Payment data processed by Google Pay is subject to Google's privacy policy.
We store only the transaction reference, payment method type, amount and subscription status. We never store full card numbers or M-Pesa PINs.
5. End-to-End Encryption
All messages and media sent through Dripychat are protected with end-to-end encryption. This means only the sender and recipient can read the content of conversations — not Dripychat employees, servers or any third party.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
Other users: your profile information as you choose to make it visible
Payment processors: M-Pesa/Safaricom, Paystack and Google Pay for subscription billing
Service providers: cloud hosting (Supabase) and push notifications (Firebase) under strict data processing agreements
Law enforcement: when required by law or to protect the safety of users
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your profile and messages are removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, regular security audits and access controls. However, no system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong unique password and enable any available security features.
10. Children's Privacy
Dripychat is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
